Abel Tasman

Abel Tasman National Park is known for its pristine golden sand beaches forming a point from Tasman Bay to Golden Bay at the top of New Zealand’s South Island – Nelson, New Zealand. It is the smallest national park in New Zealand, but unique in the world as a coastal recreation area for New Zealand hiking and walking. With its mild and sunny climate, curving golden sand beaches, large, quiet lagoons and forested hills on the edge of turquoise seas, Abel Tasman National Park is a pocket of paradise on the coast. In the upper part of the South Island, Nelson and Golden Bay are fast becoming areas of tourist interest for cultural and crafts, ceramics, and unique scenic beauty.
